Ozer Kiziltan

Born in Istanbul in 1963, Ozer Kiziltan has directed a number of television series and mini-series in his native Turkey, including 2005’s Yagmur Zamani, 2004’s Mujgan Bey, 2003’s Kursun Yarasi and 2002’s Gulbeyaz. After studying law at Istanbul University, Kiziltan graduated in 1994 from the Cinema and Television department of the University of Mimar Sinan.

In 1997, Kiziltan joined a group of filmmaker friends to form a production company, Yeni Sinemacilar (New Filmmakers) and has worked on four Yeni Sinemacilar feature films since then, each of which has won acclaim in Turkey and has been widely seen across the international film circuit. Takva (A Man’s Fear of God) is his first feature film.
