Since childhood, Craig Adams has been a central figure in the black churches of New Orleans and the US gospel tradition more broadly. In the footsteps of his relative Fats Domino, Adams is today considered one of the most talented pianists and organists in Louisiana who is also an established musical director and choir master.

Adams has worked with a panoply of prestigious fellow gospel artists, including Marva Wright, Davell Crawford, Kim Burrel, Marrutte Brown Clark, Tyrone Foster and The Arc Singers. In 2002, Adams formed his own group. As Craig Adams and the Voices of New Orleans, Adams has continued to work closely with the strongest voices in the American gospel tradition as well as to explore new opportunities with festivals such as the Fes Festival of World Sacred Music.

In 2004, Craig Adams and the Voices of New Orleans were nominated in the "Big Easy Entertainment Awards", an award given to artists who work for the cultural enrichment of New Orleans. Craig Adams, who is also a Grammy Awards jurist in the category of US Gospel, enjoys great success in Europe, where Craig Adams and the Voices of New Orleans participates in gospel and jazz festivals on a regular basis.
